I stayed at the Beachcomber Hotel in Chaweng recently and would comment that it was one of the most pleasant stays I have had in this type of accommodation. Very clean, very well run and very friendly. Highly recommended.

A really nice little hotel, in pretty gardens with a nice pool, leading down to an excellent stretch of beach. The rooms are a good size, with everything you could need (including a cassette player), the staff are very attentive, and the food is good. A special mention to the little restaurant on the beach which is really pretty at night. Really well situated as well, not far from all the nightlife, but far enough away not to be on the doorstep - a good mix of all things. Can't go wrong here.
