Bophut Village
 Bophut is one of the
oldest villages in Ko Samui, Thailand. Located on the
north shore just a few kilometres from the Big Buddha
statue, Bophut is a quiet and charming little fishing
community. Bophut is a rare example of how tourism has
enhanced the appearance of a place. Many of the
beachfront houses have been converted into quaint little
restaurants and cafés. It is definitely worth a visit to
enjoy this idyllic local treasure especially in the
evening when the whole village takes on a romantic,
old world aura. Bophut pier in the centre of town serves
passenger boats to and from the neighbouring island of Ko Pha Ngan which is famous for it's amazing "full
moon parties" at Haad Rin Beach.
