Had a wonderful time at Lamai Inn 99 Although this was our 5th trip to Thailand, it was the first time to Koh Samui and will certainly return again soon. Excellent accommodation and very helpful staff. Motorcycle rental good value and very useful for getting around the island. Regards, Ray Kelly

I made my wishes come true: I spent my holidays again in Samui in April 02 for 3 weeks and then in August 02 the same trip again - both times I stayed at Lamai Inn 99. It's just beautiful there and everything is so easy, it's a pleasure. Even when my friend had a accident with a "motorbike" from Lamai Inn 99 there where absolutely no problems to fix the bike and get another one, we got really good help - and all that for a few hundred Baht.
What I like most is having breakfast on the terrace at the beach, it's just a few meters from the bungalows, you have there a lovely view to the sea and the beach. I really miss all that...

It was my first trip to Samui but certainly not the last ! I'll be back at Lamai Inn next year for sure. The people are very friendly, comfortable rooms, good food, extremely cheap compared to Switzerland - but which country is not... :-)

Lamai Inn 99 certainly is the best place to stay at Lamai Beach, Ko Samui for those people who like to relax in the daytime on a relatively unspoiled and quiet beach but like to party in the night. Lamai nightlife is just two minutes walk away. Staff at Lamai Inn is very friendly, service is professional but still has the charm of the "not so well organised Thai living". Lamai Inn was one of the very first bungalow resorts on the island, originally visited by the backpackers community. Nowadays guests are mixed, some backpackers, some "normal" tourists but still no German / English package tourists. If you have any questions regarding the place, contacts etc. you may contact me at every time. I have been there more than 30 times now and there are few questions I couldn't answer.

I have visited Ko Samui about 20 times over the last several years. Lamai99,formerly Lamai Inn, and Coconut Resort are great on the east coast, but don't forget the sun sets in the west! Lipa Lodge, on Lipa Noi, is a wonderful place, run by friendly people, and right on the beach. Great for a break from the night life of Chaweng and Lamai. Food is good, too, and no, I don't own stock in the lodge!!!
