Having been to Samui several times and stayed at several resorts located in Lamai, in between Lamai and Chaweng, in Chaweng and in Bophut. And one I have stayed last time the Samui Palm Beach Resort in Bophut was the most beautiful resort with reasonable room rate. The cottage ( probably Swiss style ) spaciously located in garden and the room designed very simple and refined. The restaurant along the poolside offers good food. The beach appear to be much quieter than Lamai or Chaweng. Highly recommendable.

If there is any paradise in the world, then it must be Ko Samui ! Where else can we find the most friendly people, best food, empty beaches, beautiful waterfalls and pleasant massages? We stayed at Samui Palm Beach Hotel at Bophut Beach in January 94. It wasn't so touristy then. Just a few bungalow resorts and a nice fishing village with some very good restaurants. We normally ate at Ladda`s restaurant. She only had a hand-written menu and a toilet outside ! Ko Samui was the first place which I left with tears in my eyes.
