The White House is a very nice, small hotel, located at the very quiet and lovely Choeng Mon beach. We stayed there for one week and enjoyed it much: Staff is very friendly and the rooms are big and fancy. The Ruan Sai Lom Restaurant is very good and breakfast is really great. The beach itself is absolutely nice: quiet during the day and at night, just great while sitting around campfires of one of these beach side restaurants, enjoying fantastic seafood and good sounds. The small bay is really well worth a stay, because there is everything but noisy jetskiing and parasailing. The small island on the cape of the bay (I guess: Ko Fan Noi?) has a funny bar, a nice view point and can easily be reached by foot, after dusk you'll get your feet wet. 2 special recommendations: the "bongoes" has some very fine seafood and the absolutely friendliest staff on earth. The "honey seafood" located at the cape is very romantic and serves great food... A really lovely place, if you'd like to separate a bit from busy and noisier Chaweng, which is located just 4 km south.

We were very happy to stay in White House Hotel at the end of august 1997. This hotel is very nice, comfortable, and the staff is nice too. This stay will be one of the best we have got in this area. Thanks to all this staff, thanks to Bérangère for her help and to the two night singers.

We stayed at the White House at Chengmon in September and loved Ko Samui so much we are going back again this December but trying a different hotel. If you have been to Chengmon since, is the scruffy puppy about 6 weeks old still there? If you are going for the first time please donate to the animal charity boxes in most hotels and shops, the dogs really need the help.
Have you ever been to the White House Hotel ?
